Birthday Pajamas

My friend's twin daughters are having a birthday next weekend. I sewed them some flannel pj bottoms. I bought two cotton t-shirts and sewed shapes from the leftover flannel. I think they look kind of cute!

Here they are all wrapped up in cloth gift bags.

Cloth wipes

I used the extra flannel from Trey's shorts to make 18 baby wipes. They are so soft! I also made a few more bags. A couple of days ago, I whipped up some bags out of the leftover material from Beth's shirt. We have bags coming out our ears! LOL.

This was a super easy project, a pair of pajama shorts for Trey.

Beth's shirt and hankies

I sewed up 7 hankies. I don't have a serger, so I used the zig zag on my sewing machine. It's not the prettiest stitch because my feed dog is starting to get a bit wonky, but it worked okay. They are really soft and nice and thick. Obviously, I need to make more because 7 isn't going to cut it! I used scrap flannel from Denver Fabric that I got off their "by the pound" table. I think I'm going to use the same type of material for both our napkins and the baby wipes that I'm going to make. They are so soft. Here's a picture.

I also made a shirt for Beth Ann today. The pattern is Simplicity 2944. It wasn't too difficult, but the sleeves were very tedious and took quite a bit of time to finish up. It looks absolutely adorable on her, and it actually fit without me having to fiddle with it. She is so long and lean that sometimes it's hard to fit her properly - most things are pretty loose fitting. This pattern fits her like a glove though, so that's nice.

First of the Christmas bags

I screwed up cutting out the pattern of my maternity shirt - which I normally never do. Oh well. I have decided that I can make do with the maternity clothes that I have for the next four months. I have enough to get me through. So, I am done with maternity clothes! Today I worked on bags. I have quite a few that are ready to have the top seam sewn and the ties put in. I need white thread though, and I have a spool - somewhere! I started on my Christmas bags. I got four small and two medium ones done. I think they're kind of cute. I was a little bummed about giving up wrapping paper I have to admit, but after seeing the bags made, I'm feeling good about them. I think they're going to look really cute under the Christmas tree this year. Here's the first batch.

Here's a picture of three other gift bags that I finished up.

Finally - THE SCARF!

Okay, here is the finished scarf - finally. It's the first knitted object I have finished. It is super thick and warm. It's also Cowboy's colors!

I also finished up a few more t-shirt bags. Now, if I can just remember to bring them shopping....

Ripple Baby Blanket

I have finished up Trey's scarf, but I had to wash and block it, so I can't get a good picture of it yet! That will have to wait until tomorrow. I had a bunch of scrap yarn that I wanted to use up or get rid of, so I decided to whip up a ripple pattern baby blanket to give to The Gathering Place. I think it turned out kind of cute.
