Beth's shirt and hankies

I sewed up 7 hankies. I don't have a serger, so I used the zig zag on my sewing machine. It's not the prettiest stitch because my feed dog is starting to get a bit wonky, but it worked okay. They are really soft and nice and thick. Obviously, I need to make more because 7 isn't going to cut it! I used scrap flannel from Denver Fabric that I got off their "by the pound" table. I think I'm going to use the same type of material for both our napkins and the baby wipes that I'm going to make. They are so soft. Here's a picture.

I also made a shirt for Beth Ann today. The pattern is Simplicity 2944. It wasn't too difficult, but the sleeves were very tedious and took quite a bit of time to finish up. It looks absolutely adorable on her, and it actually fit without me having to fiddle with it. She is so long and lean that sometimes it's hard to fit her properly - most things are pretty loose fitting. This pattern fits her like a glove though, so that's nice.

You are doing such a good job and I am so jelous of it all, LOL! Love the blouse you made for Beth and Treys scarf looks really good. Say when you make your napkins if you do the zig zag before cutting them do each one next to the other and just cut in between them if will go easer and faster for you. Cut after you do each one on the out side and then cut between them and they will be done in no time, just a thought for you. Hope it helps! Love Mom
